The Women's Circle
The Women's Circle is open to all women and meets on the third
Tuesday of every month from 1:30pm to 3:00pm.
A programme is prepared for the year, with invited guest speakers to interest
everyone, in addition to socials and outings.
The Women's Circle was formed again on the 19th February 1991. It had
been previously held as a 'House Group Meeting' for 35 years. The members
had met one evening a month, but due to the (understandable) reluctance of members
to venture out of an evening and the difficulty in obtaining speakers, the numbers
declined. Following discussions, the Women's Circle re-opened at the current
time and venue. This proved to be a success. Twenty-one members
attended that first meeting, there are now fifty who attend at times throughout
the year.
A warm welcome is extended to all women to join in the fellowship and make new
and lasting friends.
